Half day, as usual, for AM & PM Kindergarten
Last day of school for PM Kindergarten

Wednesday, June 19 – ½ day of school

AM Kindergarten will attend the morning session (No school for PM Kindergarten)
Dismissal at 11:30 AM for Grades K-5
Last day of school for AM Kindergarten thru Grade 5

Thursday, June 20 – No school for students

Friday, June 21 – No school for students

Family Fun Night 2013

Friday, May 17th from 6-8 pm

Save the date for McNamara’s annual Family Fun Night. Exciting events include games and prizes, DJ, grilled hot dogs, face painting, raffles, cake walk and more! This event is organized and held thanks to the parents and teachers at McNamara Elementary School. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Please consider helping with:

Set up from 3:30 – 5:30
Activities during the event from 5:45 – 8:00
Donating a cake or dessert item for the cake walk (home made or store bought is fine)
Donating a gift basket for the raffle (due May 3)
Clean up from 8:00 – 9:00

Barnes & Noble Bookfair, December 2nd

The Barnes & Noble Bookfair will take place Sunday, December 2nd from 9am to 9pm at the store on Route 31 in Clay.

Activities from 12pm to 6pm:

Craft Table
Student Artwork Display
Cheesecake Factory Cake Orders (See flier)
McNamara Chorus performances at 2pm and 4pm
McNamara teachers will be reading books in the children’s area
12 & 12:30pm – Zimmer, Manton, Mills

2:30 & 3pm – Connery, Gottlieb, Paice

Present a voucher, available at the store, to the cashier and McNamara PTA will receive 20% of your purchases. Share with friends and family.

Volunteer Center Food Drive

It’s that time of the year again!
From November 12th to December 12th McNamara School will be participating in the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center food drive. We encourage you to donate these items:

Canned food
Boxed food
Hats, Mittens, and Gloves
New unwrapped gifts
Anything a child would appreciate

Donations will be collected in the school front lobby.

Box Tops for Education

The McNamara PTA has an ongoing fundraiser called Box Tops For Education {BTFE}. We earn cash $$$ throughout the school year by clipping Box Tops from hundreds of General Mills & partnering brand products. Last year we earned $1,871.50 simply from clipping these small coupons. This money is used to fund programs, activities & products that our McNamara students directly benefit from!

Everyone can participate with two easy steps:

1-Clip box top coupons from many products you already purchase.

2-Send the box top coupons with your child to school anytime. Each grade has a collection box near their classrooms that the coupons get deposited into. Throughout the year the box tops committee will collect the box tops to prepare them to mail in for redemption.

The next deadline for submissions is October 26, 2012!

To promote participation there is a contest between grades. The grade that brings in the most Box Tops, wins an ice cream sundae party at the end of the year!
